1071 US PRE-CANCEL COLLECTION. "A solid collector's collection well organised, housed in the 'Official Album for United States Bureau Pre-cancels' as published by Noble, starting off with the experimental issues of 1916/17, with examples from New Orleans and Springfield and then a state by state ordered collection, everything in nice condition, Alabama through to Wyoming, even playing card pre-cancels 'back of the book' as well, 1926 - 1929. Some pages are well filled, others not so, nevertheless there are thousands of stamps here all different. The condition is great. An opportunity for the specialist." "Est. 1,000.00-1,400.00"
1072 UNITED STATES COLLECTION. "An interesting album, Scott National, mint and used sporadically filled up with lots of interesting material, very much in mixed condition covering the gamut of grades! It is also somewhat disorganized, despite the Scott album presentation. The collection starts off with some locals, followed by telegraph stamps. Confederate States with large 4 margined 10cts rose with blue cancel (small faults) and various other issues inc. 1863 2cts, as well as 10cts on cover single usage within the Confederacy. General issues being with a couple imperfs - low values, 1857 to 12cts, cut perfs, Banil Notes to 90cts. Columbians unused but in very mixed condition with values to 8cts, followed by the next page of used to 15cts, again mixed. 1894s to 50cts, Omahas in 4cts and 8cts, useful turn of the century with intermediate values, followed by Washington/Franklin heads to $2. Fairly comprehensive thereafter. Airmails sporadic, followed by this officials, starting off with Agriculture with 3cts unused and 6cts used, Interior with 2cts, 3cts and 90cts Perry, Department of Justice with 1, 2, 3, 10 and 12cts unused, i.e. #O25, #O26, #O27, #O29 (straight edge) and #O30 (thinned) and #O31, 15cts used. Then the Navy Department with #O36, #37, #O41 and #O43 used and #O38 and #O42 - the 6cts and 15cts unused, Post Office Department with 12cts and 90cts unused, State Department with #O62 unused, Treasury with #O73, #O74, #O77 and #O78 used, War Department with various values mixed to 30cts and apparent soft porous papers inc. #O114, #O116 and #O119 used. Further 'back of the book' with newspapers with a few 1894s, followed by #PR114 to #PR122 mint and an interesting #PR124 used, some cut squares and then the revenue section begins with several dozen, all different, of the 1862/1871 perforated issues through to $3 with most spaces filled.
