| 3171 | ![]() | CLASSIC UNITED STATES &: WESTERN EUROPE ACCUMULATION thousands of mostly used singles arranged in country order in a fat stockbook. The United States material consists of four pages of used classics beginning with the issues of the 1850s, though value is concentrated in 1869 series to the 15c value plus dozens of Banknotes, Bureau issues, Pan Americans, Trans Mississippi series to the 50c, and Louisana Purchase to 5c. The Western Europe actually represents the vast majority of the value and includes classic material through the early part of the 20th century from Belgium, France, Great Britain, Italy, Netherlands, Scandinavia and Switzerland. For example, the Belgium section contains significant value in King Leopold issues. Finland includes dozens of early rouletted Coats of Arms issues while France contains hundreds of early Ceres, Napoleon III and Peace &: Commerce issues. Norway is replete with early "Coats of Arms" and Post Horn issues. Similarly, Great Britain represents substantial value especially among the Surface Printed issues of the 1860s to 1870s.
