1182UNITED STATES-FDCS PRIMARILY EARLY 1930S. "A range of material housed in 5 volumes and a few bundles of loose, mainly focusing on different cachets of the 1930s with considerable diversity. Highlights include a specialised study of the Thaddeus Kosciusko with no less than three dozen FDCs (October 13th 1933), with blocks of four, with at least 10 different cachets for the knowledgeable to research. Also seen a good range of the Pulaski FDCs, again with at least three dozen FDCs here as well with a few different cachets. There is also some commerical 19th Century here including advertising, hotels, etc. However, most of the value is in the FDCs from the early 1930s. Highlights included used #230-9, 285-91, 294-9, 323-7, 328-30, 397-404, mint singles virtually complete from #537 onward to year 1996. Two mint C18's are also found within. Seven binders with Minkus pages make up the United Nations section with both mint singles and imprint blocks of each from the formation in 1951 to 1993 including New York, Geneva and Vienna. Better items are 1-11, 29-30, 38 (plus FDC), C1-4 and a U.N.T.E.A. set. Balance of this lot is predominatly commercially produced FDC's and event covers, filling over 17 binders.
