  | FRENCH COLONIES STOCK. "A phenomenal stock housed in 20 volumes, half are large, i.e. 64 sides per book, covering the gamut of the colonies from classics to modern, mint and used. The other volumes are about half the size. The owner gave up trying to do the cataloging but from those books actually calculated, the projection for the total should be about €90/€100,000. Owners catalog values on Algeria for example over €2300, with few empty spaces, occasionally with stamps by 6 or so, but nothing in excessive quantity. The same goes for the postage dues and other 'back of the book'. French Polynesia - uncataloged, mostly modern, New Caledonia from early o/ps and dozens, of 'Peace and Commerce' types, leading onto the oval o/ps, various 20th century including high values, again onto modern, also uncatalgoed. Madagascar - a fascinating book, apparently cataloging €2995. This includes Martinique, again loaded with hundreds of stamps, mint and used, represented across the board. Indo-China/French India, then another good book. There are several hundred stamps here, which as in every book is put in chronological order with here the particular interest in 'fanon' o/ps and other early issues from 'Peace and Commerce' types, etc. Then a few further volumes of Independent Africa and Asian countries, very colorful, followed by 'G' books, i.e. Gabon, Guadaloupe, French Guyana from imperfs onwards and diagonal o/ps to 1fr, French Guinea, etc. This book alone apparently catalogs at €5,600. Another volumes, this time the 'C/Ds', with Comores, Congo, through to Dahomey, Dedeagh, Diego Suarez with an interesting range of classics from imperf through to 1fr (x3), etc. Yet another book, with useful New Hebrides to 5/- and second series to 10fr (oily hinging), other series through to 5fr, etc. Lots of Obock, including two dozen or so imperf pictorials, Reunion from the French Colony eagle, imperf o/ps, and lots of diagonal o/ps and further Allegory types. Useful Senegal with several hundred stamps across the board, also useful Sudan, Syria, Togo, etc. French Colonies in general - a very strong book, i.e. the eagle o/ps and lots of imperf 'Peace and Commerce' types, leading onto the perforated issues, postage dues, etc. the progected catalog on this book, which does include the 'A's, through to French Post Offices in China is €8224. Other useful books include a surprisingly strong Tunisia, better than expected Andorra with lots of modern as well, good Wallis and Futuna, from early issues to modern with lots of material to high values, to the 20th book - Scandinavia! representing a purchase made in 1987 that the owner never god round to sorting out." | "Est. 5,000.00-7,500.00"
  | FRENCH COLONIES GROUP. Hundreds of mint & used stamps housed in a small stockbook. Mainly late 19th and 20th Century to about 1938. Noted were Commerce and Sage and other standard types with Offices in Zanzibar; Guadeloupe; French Oceania; Martinique; Reunion; Senegal; Somali Coast with some surcharges on Triangular issues (4 different). Arrived at the last minute and worth chaecking out. | "Est. 1,000.00-1,400.00"
  | FRENCH COLONIES HOLDING. "A very impressive estate holding, a last minute entry that needs a great deal of attention to really find out what is here. This represents an accumulation made over several years by a 'wannabe' dealer whose stripped collections and placed them into stockcards - not the other way round... However, what is particularly good about this is that it is occasionally intense with useful material, ranging from the 19th century through to post WWII, with very little modern. There are about 140 stockcards including imperf blocks, lots of high values, lots of better mint needing assistance! Virtually every country in the French Colonies is represented here and the only way to really see this potential is to actually view it, since it is rather disorganised and often stamps are placed one on top of the other, so please allow plenty of time. However, to give a few hints, the airmail issues of Lebanon looked interesting, also general colonies airmails, postage dues and the overall diversity with virtually every stockcard having 30 to 40 stamps, often with high cataloging items. Please view carefully." | "Est. 1,000.00-1,400.00"
  | "FRENCH COLONIES COLLECTION, 1890-1960." "Several hundred mint and used stamps housed in a red loose-leaf album. Includes sets and part set, Air Posts, etc. With New Caledonia; Wallis & Futuna Islands; Oceania; Guadeloupe and more. A last minute arrival and worth checking." | Est. 700.00-850.00
  | GERMAN SHEET/HAN NUMBER EXTRAORDINARY LIFETIME COLLECTION. "This extensive collection of sheets of HAN numbers - not at all wholesale - is housed in 10 sheet files and represents a lifetime's work of buying complete mint sheets, one at a time (600+ present) for the issues from late 19th century to 1947. This is from an estate and the importance of the collection should not be understated as there are many scarce items. This is particularly relevant with the inflation period issues, where the collector tried to obtain as many different sheets as possible, including better sheets. The collection however begins with German States, namely Bavaria Mi #33, 2 sheets including varieties, also noted a few Wurttemberg 1916 issues including 2 sheets each of Mi #240 and Mi #255. Then Germany, especially the Inflation period beginning with 1920 Germania issues with a good range of shades including Mi #140b and Mi #143b, all expertized sheets. The 1921 overprints are also well represented with Mi #154 plate error, Mi #155II expertized sheet, Mi #157II expertized sheet also including HAN 177, 179, 188, 190, etc. Also plate errors on Mi #208, Mi #230, Mi #246, Mi #248, Mi #258 IX, VI, Mi #259 XI and others. The 1923 overprints are very well represented with Mi #278 I plate error, followed by Mi #289 with 8 different printings, as well as Mi #309 A Wb, again expertized. Also in these issues are several examples of missing HAN numbers. The later 1923 issues are most interesting with perf and rouletted types, noted scarce HAN 318 (H.23), Mi #321Ab expertized. The collection has much more including post war issue sheets such as 1946 Finsterwalde locals imperf complete, also Zone issues from Thuringen, Berlin, Saxony, with excellent material in sheet format as well. Also, issues from Danzig and Occupation of Poland, etc. The condition in the vast majority is never hinged perfection, virtually all sheets. Projected catalog of approximately €100,000 as formed by a German American over a forty years period, with considerable importance for German philately in differentiating some of the Michel a, b + c numbers, etc. in sheet format. A fantastic resource for the German specialist." | "Est. 5,000.00-10,000.00"
  | GERMAN STATES COLLECTION. "A last minute entry, somewhat varied in mixed condition. The lot has been catalogued in pounds and for the most part if not all, fakes and reference copies have been disallowed and the breakup is as follows: Bergedorf £18741, Heligoland £8073, again making no reference to reprints all of which have been marked accordinly, and finally the general German States section that catalogs £30,000++ from states such as Brunswick, Hamburg, Schlesweg Holstein, Saxony, Bremen, Alsace Lorraine, Thurn and Taxis, etc. making a total catalog projection of £63,000 or something near to $120,000. Of this poor condition would take away half, making $60,000 of marketable material and our estimate reflects this reality. Please note that the majority are mounted on album leaves and as said would be easy to distinguish between fakes and genuine. Definitely a lot for the dealer, reference for the student of German States." | "Est. 2,000.00-3,000.00"
 | GERMAN STATES COLLECTION. "Assortment of 241 mostly used on homemade pages, nice sections of Baden, Bavaria, Brunswick, Hamburg, Hannover, Lubeck, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Oldenburg, Prussia, Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, strong Thurn & Taxis, Wurttemberg, also some North German Confederation issues, usual very mixed condition with a normal complement of reprints, fakes or dubious cancels, VG-VF, still worthwhile to spend a little time with this one." | Est. 600.00-900.00
