MATCHLESS OFFICIAL COLLECTION O1 // UO61, Exhibition quality classic Official collection neatly housed in a Scott National album; The most remarkable assortment of singles, blocks, and plate blocks we have ever encountered in a single collection; A scarce compilation of rarely seen multiples - A collection of this size and rarity would be nearly impossible to assemble today, The collection consists of two sets of singles, one a scarce used set (missing only a few of the higher denomination stamps), the other a fabulous mint collection, lacking only a couple of the rarities, The used set consists of choice examples with attractive cancellations, highlights include scarce used examples of #'s O45, O67, etc; The comprehensive unused set consists of many choice examples, including #'s O1-O9 complete, O11-O13, O15-O24 complete, O25-O34 complete, O57-O68, O72-O82 complete, and O83-O93 complete - many with full original gum; Then there's the multiples! Blocks of four, blocks of six, large chunks of thirty and more, These include #'s O3 block/29, O15-O24 blocks/4, O24 block/4, O28 and O30 blocks/4, O47-O53 in blocks, strips, and part sheets, O54 in a plate # strip/7, O88 plate block/16, then a large selection of the lesser expensive 1879 Soft Paper issues, including impressive top quality multiples; Just a wonderful treasure trove of beautiful blocks, strips, and plate blocks - with many never hinged examples throughout - rare thus, as that's the only way to find true never hinged Officials - in the large multiples that were put away years ago; Finally there's a small selection of Official Cut squares from the War Department and a few entires of interest; We have carefully cataloged this collection to give you an accurate catalog value, as the price difference from a mint, OG, example to an regummed stamp is substantial, we have accurately cataloged each page; The Scott catalog value of this tremendous Official collection is well in excess of $100,000.00; A wonderful opportunity for the retail dealer to invest in a spectacular holding of these great stamps; A rare chance to buy a great lot with Officials in large multiples that was assembled years ago and has finally reached to auction block.Est. $40000-50000
