3810	TANTALIZING MINT TURKEY COLLECTION 1863-1975 thousands of mint stamps in a very well-filled Scott Specialty album belonging to knowledgeable collector who had an eye for quality and a passion for the unusual since there are a wealth of varieties throughout including perforations, overprint varieties and plate flaws. The collection begins with both a mint &: used set of the first issue (the only used stamps in the collection), followed by a nearly complete run of the next three issues including the following scarce items: 1865 25Pi Red Orange, 1867 25Pi Orange, 1869 complete set, 1870 10Pa Brown &: 1Pi Yellow, from the 1876 issue both the overprinted 5Pi &: 25Pi values are present and extremely scarce while the issues of 1876 to 1901 are virtually complete along with duplicates and the 1909 set is complete including the overprinted issues, of special interest is the 1911 "Sultan's Visit to Macedonia" series of four city overprints which is nearly complete for all four cities, we also noted the 1914 Pictorial set complete followed by a rich selection of the many overprinted issues of 1915 to 1917 that includes many difficult items, the highly desirable 1919 Armistice set is complete as is the 1924 Sakarya Bridge set (NH). The always popular issues of the 1920s are complete and virtually all are NH including 1930 "Sivas" overprints and 1931 Kemal Ataturk sets. Turning to the BOB issues, we noted the 1935 Women's Congress set, 1911 "Sultan's Visit to Macedonia" postage due sets for all four cities complete, 1927 Air Fund set(NH) and the very scarce 1930 5L 'Bes Lira' overprint which is signed by Sanabria with a Rendon certificate, the collection closes with sections for Turkey in Asia, Alexandretta complete NH, Cilicia and Hatay, truly an outstanding collection that merits special attention. 3811	EXTENSIVE USED TURKEY COLLECTION 1863-1970 thousands of used stamps in a well-filled Scott Specialty album with strength in the 19th and early 20th century issues including hundreds of varieties such as perforation, color, and overprint varities along with interesting cancels and a selection of covers. Among the early issues we note that the first four sets are complete, one of the few mint stamps in the entire collection is the 1884 5pa Lilac followed closely by the very scarce used top value of the set 25Pi Gray. The 20th century also includes many better sets and singles such as the 1909 and 1913 complete sets as well as the 1914 200Pi Sultan top value. Other key items include the 1919 25Pi Blue Armistice, 1923 First Republic set, 1924 Sakarya Bridge set, 1927 and 1928 Overprinted sets and the 1934 Izmir overprints. The BOB material also includes some worthwhile material such as the 1917 10pa and 10Pi newspaper overprints, 1935 Women's Congress set and finally the 1901 newspaper set. 3823	SPLENDID MINT VENEZUELA COLLECTION 1859-1980 very attractive collection of thousands of mint stamps in a Scott Specialty album assembled by a collector with an eye for quality since virtually everything issued after 1925 is NH. The collection begins with a page of the early issues that includes the first two sets complete followed by both the 1/2c Yellow-Green and 1c Blue-Green of the 1865 issue while the 1880 Bolivar and 1896 Map set are both complete. We also spotted a complete NH set of the 1915 Bolivar set to start the 20th century issues then continuing with the 1924 Bolivar set in both perf varieties. From the 1930s onward the collection just goes from strength to strength and includes the 1932 Security Paper set, 1937 Resellado overprint set, 1938 Pictorial set, 1943 Resellado overprint set and the 1951 Coats of State Arms set complete. Then skipping to the Airmail section we discovered that it is virtually complete for the period in NH condition and includes the 1932 First Airmail set, 1937 Security Paper set, 1937 Pictorial set &: Resellado overprints, 1938 Pictorials, 1943 Resellado overprints (2), and all the 1951 Coats of Arms set with many duplicates and varieties.
