The oil tanks and part of the foreground have been painted in by hand as well as numerous pieces glued together to form the vignette. Facsimile signature of Kenneth Lay as COB and Menchace as Corporate Secretary. Top has red box with ìOK to Engraveî and dated 6-2-(86). There is an additional artwork in pen and ink or it could be a photo copy of the original artwork that the vignette was modeled on. It has come loose from where it was glued, but it is protected by sealed plastic and appears to be in VF condition. The certificate is mounted on white card and inserted into grey folder. In December 1985 securities of the company began trading on the New York Stock Exchange. This certificate model is dated 12-12-85. In 1986, it joins the Fortune 500 faster than any company in history. In 1989, Compaq introduces the first Compaq notebook PC, the Compaq LTE. By 1963, CSC was the largest software company with revenues close to $4 million. Honeywell traces its roots back to 1885, when an inventor named Albert Butz Patented the furance regulator and alarm. He formed the Butz Thermo-Electric Regulator Co., Minneapolis, in 1886 and a few weeks later invented a simple, yet ingenious device that he called the ""damper flapper"" which became the backbone of Honeywell. In 1904 a young engineer named Mark Honeywell, was perfecting the heat generator as part of his plumbing and heating business and later formed the Honeywell Heating Specialty Co, specializing in hot water heat generators. In 1955, a joint venture called Datamatic Corporation, was established with Raytheon Corp. that marked Honeywell's entry into the computer business. The company's first computer system, the D-1000, weighted 25 tons, took up 6,000 square feet and cost $1.5 million. Raytheon's interest in the computer venture was bought out in 1960 and the business name changed to Electronic Date Processing (EDP). In 1970, Honeywell merged its computer business with General Electric's to form Honeywell Information System, which performed well in mainframe markets. In 1986, Honeywell significantly enhanced its position in the aerospace industry with the purchase of Sperry Aerospace. Today, Honeywell is a multinatioal corporation that is not only a leading supplier to home, office and industrial control systems, but also a major defense contractor and an integral part of America's space exploration program. Honeywell products include turboprop engines, flight safety and landing systems, automation and controls, heating, ventilation, materials used in semiconductors, polymers for electronics, fibers, friction materials and consumer car products. Computing-Tabulating-Recording Company (C-T-R) was formed in 1910 by Charles Ranlett Flint and is the predecessor company to IBM. In 1912 , along with John Patterson, his former employer at National Cash Register, Thomas Watson, (Sr.) was convicted of violating the Sherman Antitrust Act on behalf of ""NCR"" to eliminate their competition. Watson never admitted any wrongdoing, and in 1915 the government dropped its case against NCR after the company became famous for its help during a catastrophic flood in its hometown of Dayton, Ohio.
