1900 La Paz. Bolivia El Banco De La Nacion Boliviana- Banco Central De Bolivia Essay. 1911, (ca.1929); Ser.A. P-114 Essay Unlisted. 10 Bolivianos Specimen banknote from 1911 Regular Issue Series for "El Banco De La Nacion Boliviana" that was used as the base note for the 1929 Provisional Issue for "Banco Central De Bolivia". Guilloches are a different shape than the ones used on the 1911 issues. These notes were printed directly for this provisional issue and were not remainders left over from the previous printing. It is possible that the notes were printed without overprints, undertints and cycloid tints and serial numbers in 1911 and were held in storage until 1929, and when needed, the new undertints and cycloid tints were added in 1929. Deserves further research. Red "Specimen" overprints, POC's and "00000" serial numbers. Unlisted as a specimen in SCWPM as well as unlisted without overprint of "Banco Central De Bolivia". Uncirculated condition. Scarce note. ABNC. (Photo) Est. 200.00-400.00
1901 La Paz. Bolivia El Banco De La Nacion Boliviana- Banco Central De Bolivia Essay. 1911, (ca.1929); Ser.A. P-116 Essay Unlisted. 50 Bolivianos Specimen banknote from 1911 Regular Issue Series for "El Banco De La Nacion Boliviana" that was used as the base note for the 1929 Provisional Issue for "Banco Central De Bolivia". The m/c guilloches (cycloid tints) are a different shape for P-116 than the ones used on the 1911 issue, P-110 and there are 2 areas where "Serie A" is located on P-116, on the lower right and the upper left and only one on P-110, at the lower right only. I suspect that these notes were printed directly for this provisional issue and were not remainders left over from the previous printing. It is possible that the notes were printed without overprints, undertints and cycloid tints and serial numbers in 1911 and were held in storage until 1929, and, when needed, the new undertints and cycloid tints could have been added later. Deserves further research. Red "Specimen" overprints, POC's and "00000" serial numbers. Unlisted as a specimen in SCWPM as well as unlisted without overprint of "Banco Central De Bolivia". Choice uncirculated condition. Scarce note. ABNC. (Photo) Est. 300.00-600.00
