The Johnson Steel Street Rail Company had its name changed in 1888 to the "Johnson Company". They manufactured specialty railroad tracks for a many companies until 1893. The DuPonts had a large holding of stocks and bonds of company. Arthur J. Moxham was on DuPontâs first Executive Committee. He controlled and ran The Johnson Company during the difficult 1893 depression time period until its demise in 1899 when it was integrated into other Moxham companies.
